After over three years of preparation, and thanks to the hard work of everyone in Oregon and Japan, we couldn't be more excited for the opening of the TACTICS Sapporo store!
Portland, Oregon, and Sapporo, Japan, are sister cities, both with thriving skateboarding and snowboarding communities, beautiful nature and mountains, and both cities filled with great food, great beer, a touch of grunge, and great people. For these reasons, Sapporo was a natural choice for TACTICS.
The grand opening reception party was a special evening, drawing a large crowd. It brought together some of the biggest names in Japan's skateboarding and snowboarding scenes, including pro riders, salespeople, distributors, talented local riders, brand representatives, other shop owners, and members of the local community. With free beer, merchandise giveaways, and even a raffle to support B4BC Japan, the evening was filled with fun from start to finish.
The biggest surprise of the night was when Raimu Katayama announced that she would officially join the TACTICS Global Snow Team!
The entire team surprised him with special Raibu + Tactics t-shirts and celebrated his inclusion with a champagne toast, followed by a late-night party at local snowboard bar Zanshin.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who worked to make this happen!
