Introducing Nike SB's latest silhouette, the PS8. This shoe, the last project of Nike Skateboarding founder Sandy Boedecker, is packed with technology, new features, and innovation. The PS8 name comes from the late Boedecker's Instagram account @problemsolver8, and the goal of this shoe is to solve all the major problems with skateboarding shoes. Tactics team rider Dakota Mead reviewed the official Paris Olympics colorway.
High-Tech Upper Nike SB wanted to create a shoe with maximum breathability without sacrificing durability. The upper is constructed from the same Flyknit material used in many of Nike's running shoes, with a durable leather PU-coated toe cap. Dakota really liked the shape of the toe cap, saying it covers all the areas that would normally see heavy wear.
Fit: Dakota noted that the shoes felt a little larger than other Nike SB models, but they broke in nicely within the first session. He wouldn't recommend going down a size unless you like a tighter fit.
"I usually skate in shoes like the Dunk, which are a little wider, so when I first saw them I was a little worried about how narrow they were. But they were so stable, I didn't have to worry about landing awkwardly and twisting my ankle."

Flexible cupsole
This cupsole is durable and shock-absorbent, offering the best impact protection for hard landings. Cupsoles generally last longer than vulcanized soles, but offer less flexibility and board feel right out of the box.
