K2 is an original American ski and snowboard brand founded in Washington State in 1962. We started with a small shop, a small garage, an island, and an idea. We had ideals, a crazy drive to improve, and we failed many times. As we grew from a garage brand to a global brand, one thing has remained constant: our belief in innovation, craftsmanship, and dedication.
Named for its intended purpose, the K2 Excavator excels at carving deep grooves on groomers and raising powder spray after a storm cycle.
With its wide circumference and dual-radius sidecut, the Excavator is suitable for both men and women.
The Excavator's thicker profile allows riders to size down approximately 5cm from their normal length without sacrificing performance.
The wide 20mm taper also works well for riders with larger feet, reducing toe drag on deep turns and long traverses.
The smooth flex of the S1 core combined with the tail-to-tail ICG 10 Biax Glass gives the Excavator a responsive and controlled underfoot feel.
We also added a Pre-Camber Carbon Power Fork for extra energy before and after turns and for spontaneous "slow sign" ollies.
