This product is an upgraded version of the GEL-FLEXKEE PRO, which was developed at the ASICS Institute of Sport Science by incorporating the opinions of professional skaters and analyzing the movements of skaters in skateboarding competitions.
This model features advanced functionality that allows athletes to perform at a high level. While inheriting the groove structure on the outer sole that follows the detailed movements of the forefoot while riding, it offers better flexibility than the first model, improving grip on the board and protecting the toes from hits from the board.
The eyelets are designed to allow for two different lace threading options, on the inside and outside, to prevent the laces from breaking during play. The shoe tongue also has a folded-over structure at the top to make it more durable and less likely to break.
This time, polyurethane printing has been added to the ankle area to improve durability when hitting the board, and stitching has been added to the heel area to accommodate the movement of the heel clip, improving durability.
GEL technology is placed from the center to the inside of the heel of the sole, cushioning the impact when landing and making it easier to maintain balance on the board.
