Quasi Skateboards started in 2015.
Originally operating under the name "Mother," the brand was formed in the wake of the collapse of Alien Workshop. Former Alien pros Gilbert Crockett, Tyler Bledsoe, and Jake Johnson, along with Chad Bowers, started the brand to embody "what skate culture really needs right now."
The brand name Mother was meant to convey the idea that it was a company that everyone could put their heart and soul into, and that the product was their own creation. However, the name "Mother" was already owned by someone else on the Internet, which led to legal issues, and the brand name was eventually changed to "Quasi."
The word "Quasi" means "it looks like it, but it's not," meaning it's in the eye of the beholder and symbolizes the stance, "this is just skateboarding."
Quasi is one of the most cutting-edge graphic brands on the market today, and it's this kind of integrity that skateboarding really needs right now.
Customers who purchase a skateboard deck will receive a free TACTICS original skateboard rain cover.
