POWELL PERALTA is a skateboarding brand founded in 1976 by George Powell and legendary professional skater Stacy Peralta. They led the skateboarding boom of the 1980s, forming the "Bones Brigade" skate team and producing many icons, including Tony Hawk and Steve Caballero.

Designed by George Powell in 1988, the G Bones filled the 64mm slot previously occupied by the Cubic.
Wheel's artwork was created by VCJ (Vernon Courtlandt Johnson), and was one of his final projects before leaving the company in 1989. The graphic was printed using pad printing technology, which was revolutionary at the time.
