This year's updated BCA probe features larger markings that make it easier to check depth when performing a rescue or monitoring snow conditions.
The professional-grade aluminum model is laser engraved to prevent wear, and BCA's stealth quick-lock hardware folds down to a smaller size and prevents the cable from coming loose and hitting the probe in your face while you're working hard.
The probe has snow depth highlighted in orange: 1.5m (for rough probing), 2.5m (for precise probing), and deeper to warn you when you're approaching the snow bottom.
