Nike SB x ARTS-REC collaboration shoes now available!
In 2007, Tyrone "T-Bone" Olson, the younger brother of legendary San Diego skater and artist Tommy Guerrero, founded ARTS-REC, an art gallery, record shop, and apparel store based in San Diego culture. Rooted in the local community as a natural intersection of skateboarding, music, and art, this space continues to influence the San Diego cultural scene to this day.
For this collaboration with Nike SB, two models, the DUNK and the AIR TRAINER 1, will be released, based on the theme of the "cultural intersection" that Tyrone has built.
NIKE SB DUNK LOW “ARTS-REC”
This shoe encapsulates the energy and DIY spirit that defined San Diego skate culture in the 1990s and early 2000s. Its retro colorways and textures, along with the finer details, embodied Tyrone's respect for the local scene and his own vision. "These aren't just shoes. They're culture," he said, symbolizing the story of the community unfolding from the skater's feet.
NIKE SB AIR TRAINER 1 “ARTS-REC”
The other model, the Air Trainer 1, incorporates '90s workwear, San Diego local scenery, and street style. The upper is made of high-quality canvas and suede, projecting the diverse yet powerful appeal of youth culture. Authentic yet freshly reinterpreted, this shoe shines.
Both models are imbued with a deep respect for the community Tyrone has nurtured over the years and a crossover perspective of skating, art, and music.
