Welcome to Tactics Shoe Review! Today we're looking at the Nike SB React Leo. This shoe is Leo Baker's first pro model, a collaboration between Nike SB and Leo Baker. It features a mid-top design, a React cushioned insole, a leather and suede blend, and Nike branding and Leo Baker's name on the tongue tag and insole. The key question for this review is, "Are these shoes durable?" Tactics team rider Dakota Mead put the shoes through approximately 30 hours of skating testing around the streets of Portland. Press play to see how durable the Nike SB React Leo is.

Fit and comfort
These shoes are similar to the Blazer in terms of fit, but slightly wider. They're easier to put on and take off than the Blazer. In terms of comfort, the React insole stands out, being thicker, especially in the heel area, for excellent shock absorption. The thin toe area provides excellent board feel. The combination of a thin toe and a supportive heel means you can jump without worrying about heel pain. Your feet won't feel uncomfortable during your sessions, and overall comfort is excellent .

Break-in and durability
These shoes break in relatively quickly and have a soft suede-like feel right from the start. Regarding durability, suede strips are placed in areas prone to wear for added durability. After 30 hours of skating, there was noticeable wear and small holes, but the shape is still good. However, the rubber in the toe box is thinner, which slightly reduces flickability. Compared to other shoes, there is less rubber in the toe box, so they wear out a little faster.

Saul and Flick
The sole of this shoe combines a cupsole with a standard tread pattern and internal foxing. This design provides the flick of a vulcanized shoe, while also combining the support of a cupsole and the comfort of a React insole. In terms of flicking, it balances the characteristics of the Janoski and Blazer. It offers support and a powerful flick, and also features an attractive shape and mid-top style. Overall, it excels in both performance and style.

Additional Features
Practical features include a strap to keep the tongue in place, ventilation holes in the toe area, and satin material on the sides.

Final evaluation
Overall, the Nike SB React Leo is a highly recommended choice. Featuring a supportive React insole, it's well-suited for a variety of skateboarding styles, including technical, rail, and big drops. The toe box design is ideal for technical tricks, and the heel support minimizes discomfort. These shoes emphasize inclusion, making them a versatile option for all skateboarders. Durability and comfort make them a strong choice for anyone looking for a high-performance skate shoe.
