About a month ago, we held the 5th Annual Snake Run Rally at Hoodoo Ski Area in central Oregon.
This community-driven banked slalom race, organized in partnership between our Eugene and Bend stores, started as a small gathering in the woods but this year expanded to two days of hand-dug banks and a winding slalom course.
The weekend featured parking lot camping, a karaoke party on Saturday, raffles, night riding and impromptu hip sessions. Tactics team riders Demetri and Kai took 1st and 2nd place in the Men's Open category.

Race co-founder Johnny Sisco cleared turn five low and fast.
Kevin Nimick, the Portland store's slightly grumpy manager, took second place in the GOOD-O-MOOD (GOOD-O-MOOD) category.

Janessa Bourque is the undefeated champion in the Women's Open category.

This turn was crazy.
The trophy was made by my favorite natural wax brand, Spiral Wax.
